Information we do NOT collect:
- We do not collect your precise GPS location
- We do not access your contacts, camera, or microphone beyond what is required to play audio content

- Process subscription payments and manage billing

We will not use your information for purposes beyond those listed above without first obtaining your consent.
4. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers: We use trusted third-party services to operate the app, including:
- Supabase — database and authentication hosting
- Stripe — payment processing (we never store your full card details)
- Resend — transactional email delivery
- Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, or government authority.
- Business transfer: If Pidgin Dictionary is acquired or merged, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. You will be notified in advance.
All third-party providers are contractually required to protect your data and may only use it to perform services on our behalf.
5. Payments & Billing
All payment processing is handled securely by Stripe, a certified PCI-DSS compliant payment processor. We do not store your full credit card number, CVV, or other sensitive payment details on our servers.
When you subscribe, Stripe stores a secure token representing your payment method. We store only your Stripe Customer ID and subscription status in our database.

6. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service.
If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, tax, or fraud prevention purposes (typically up to 7 years for financial records as required by applicable law).
Anonymised or aggregated usage data may be retained indefinitely as it cannot identify you personally.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten")

We take data security seriously and implement industry-standard measures to protect your information, including:

- Secure authentication via Supabase with hashed passwords
- Row-level security on our database to ensure users can only access their own data
- Regular security reviews of our codebase and infrastructure
However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by:
- Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
- Sending an email notification to your registered email address
- Displaying a notice within the app
